WE ARE JUST A SPECK OF DUST...

I think we all must have thought of one question that what is the purpose of this life?

Each person answers this question very differently. Also, answer varies at which stage of life that person is, like youngster defines this as being successful or achieve or accumulate material wealth. But before giving much weightage to any single answer, let's understand other aspect beyond our physical existence.

We live on this earth which is one of the tiny planet in our galaxy (milkyway) which is itself one of the billion galaxies in this universe.

The life on earth is coincidence otherwise a little less or more distance from Sun would have made temprtaure more hot or cold and there would be no life. If Jupitor alignment is not what it is then so many asteroid would have hit earth. Nobody knows why it is so but this is what it is. But what we could say that it is chain of innumerable of events happened in past which made life on earth possible.

Again, come to our question - what is purpose of life?

How we exist today is more a biological process, not taking about sex but formation of cell but we are just one of 90 lakhs species (appx). I guess it is only human who can think or ask question because we have curious mind. And, that's the only reason we have invented so many stuff after understanding laws of this universe/nature.

Do you think these inventions is our purpose of life - I belive no. Just like any other species, we have built these stuff to keep ourselves alive, nothing more.

And, we all have very individualist approach. Bit confusing? Let me explain

Suppose, I love reading books. I am doing this because I have curious mind to understand the stuff. Should I take any pride in this? No, I am doing for my own good.

Suppose, you love somebody and take care of her / him. Does it mean you are doing favour to her or him? No, by loving means you loving yourself. Again, you are doing to keep yourself happy - nothing more.

Suppose, I work really very hard to earn more resources. May be other people might get inspiration from my efforts but is there anything that I should take any pride? No, I am doing because I want to make my life more comfortable.

In nutshell, we do certain stuff because we want that. Simple, isn't it? We all have survival instinct. I belive everything we do because of this survival instinct, nothing more.

Do you think from universe perspective - any of the above, can be purpose of life? I think, no.

Then atleast one think I can say - there is no point to worry. Whether we make any significant contribution or not. It does not matter. After all, we are just a speck of dust.

To some extent, we all are here to experince this life and because we have tendency to question everything, so gaining knowledge could be purpose of one's life. Again, this is individualistic.
